Project Teams
Process:
The board sets the agenda for the project team.
The project team does the work, updating the board monthly.
a. All meeting notes from project team meetings are sent out to the Board and Project Team members and are posted on a shared Google Drive.
b. On a regular basis, each team gets 20 minutes on the board agenda: 5-8 minutes to give an update, 12-15 minutes for discussion of a question that they’d like feedback on (or that the board would like to give feedback on)
The board approves policies and projects.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH/FUNDRAISING TEAM
The community outreach team coordinates fundraising, volunteer engagement, and communication with the community via public communication, convening small groups, and one-on-one conversations.
Current Responsibilities:

Develop Communication Process with community, including update website, mailing list, and monthly Council Calendar updates.

BUILD TEAM
The build team develops each project, including the initial process of surveys, site proposals, construction design, abutter outreach, etc. (see process document) with guidance and approval from the board
Current Responsibilities:
Develop projects at Schoolhouse Road and the Webb property, with board approval
Investigate other possible projects at direction of the board, which may include an ADU Pilot Program
Plan residences (rehabbing, new residences, contract zones, energy efficient modular housing, etc.) based on survey findings and community input.
Develop aesthetic guidelines for new construction.
HOUSING POLICY TEAM
The housing policy project team develops processes for housing projects at the direction of the Board. This may include projects such as forming criteria for potential applicants or developing an island housing trust.
Current Responsibilities:
Develop a fair and equitable process for determining house awardees, including honoring the guidelines offered by funders by organizations such as MaineHousing.
Research existing island housing covenants, island housing portfolios, housing trusts. Develop method and criteria that will work best on Chebeague to retain housing in CHG housing stock.
Develop procedures and regulations for maintaining, retaining and managing the residences.
Determine the enforcement procedures for housing regulations.

CICA Board Meetings: 2nd Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00PM, Quarterly Board Dinners at 6PM
Build Team: 1st and 3rd Mondays at 7:30PM
